Account Setup
Configure your GolfCartOps account with business information, operating hours, and timezone settings.
After creating your account and adding your first location, take a few minutes to configure your settings for the best experience.
Business Information
Navigate to Settings in the sidebar to update your core business details:
- Business name -- Displayed on your public booking page and customer-facing emails
- Contact email -- Where customer inquiries and booking notifications are sent
- Contact phone -- Shown on your booking page so customers can call with questions
- Logo -- Upload your business logo for branding on the booking page and rental agreements
Location Settings
Each location has its own configuration. Go to Locations, click on a location, and then open its settings:
- Address -- The physical address of your rental shop. This is used for delivery distance calculations and shown on your booking page.
- Timezone -- Critical for accurate booking dates and operating hours. All times in the system display in your location's timezone. Common choices include America/New_York, America/Chicago, and America/Los_Angeles.
- Operating hours -- Set your open and close times for each day of the week. The booking page uses these to show customers when pickup is available.
- Phone and email -- Location-specific contact info if different from your main business.
Tip: If you close on certain days, leave those days unchecked. The booking engine will not allow pickups or returns on closed days.
Notification Preferences
Control what notifications you and your staff receive:
- Booking confirmations -- Get notified when a new booking is placed
- Return reminders -- Alerts when a cart is due back today
- Overdue alerts -- Immediate notification when a rental goes past its return date
- Waitlist matches -- Know when a waitlisted customer gets notified of availability
Tax Configuration
Set up tax rates from the Pricing section:
- Add the applicable sales tax percentage for each location
- Taxes are automatically calculated on all bookings and displayed on invoices
- Multiple tax rates can be configured if your locations span different jurisdictions

GolfCartOps uses a role-based system to control what your team can access. See the Staff and Roles section for details on setting up your team.
Stripe Payments
To accept online payments, connect your Stripe account from Settings > Payments. The setup takes about five minutes and requires standard business verification. See Stripe Connect Setup for a full walkthrough.
Checklist
Before going live, make sure you have:
- Business name and logo uploaded
- At least one location with address, timezone, and operating hours
- Fleet carts added with accurate daily rates
- Tax rates configured
- Stripe connected for online payments
- Your booking link shared on your website and social profiles
