Dashboard Overview
A guided tour of the GolfCartOps dashboard, sidebar navigation, and key pages.
The GolfCartOps dashboard is your command center for managing every aspect of your rental business. Here is a walkthrough of the main areas.
Location Selector
At the top of the sidebar, you will find the location selector. If you manage multiple locations, use this dropdown to switch between them. Selecting a location filters all data on the dashboard -- fleet, bookings, revenue, and more -- to that specific shop. Choose "All Locations" to see a combined view.
Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar organizes the platform into logical sections:
- Dashboard -- KPI cards showing active rentals, available carts, today's revenue, and overdue returns. Below the stats, you will see today's schedule and recent activity.
- Locations -- Add, edit, and manage your rental locations. Configure addresses, operating hours, and staff assignments.
- Fleet -- View all your carts in a list or grid. Filter by status (available, rented, maintenance). Click any cart to see its full history, maintenance records, and upcoming bookings.
- Bookings -- A calendar and list view of all reservations. Create new bookings, check carts in and out, and manage cancellations.
- Customers -- Your customer database with contact info, rental history, and communication logs.
- Deliveries -- Plan delivery routes, assign drivers, and manage delivery zones with map-based tools.
- Pricing -- Configure base rates, seasonal rules, day-of-week premiums, and length-of-stay discounts.
- Waitlist -- Manage peak-season demand with an automated waitlist that notifies customers when carts become available.
- Reports -- Revenue summaries, fleet utilization charts, and customer lifetime value analytics.
Settings Section
Under Settings in the sidebar, you will find:
- General -- Business info, branding, and notification preferences
- Payments -- Stripe Connect setup for accepting customer payments
- Members -- Invite and manage your staff with role-based permissions
- Billing -- Your GolfCartOps subscription plan and invoices
- Activity Log -- A complete audit trail of actions taken in your account
Key Concepts
- Everything is scoped by location. When you select a location, the data you see belongs to that shop. Staff members can be assigned to specific locations.
- Bookings follow a lifecycle. Every booking moves through states: Pending, Confirmed, Checked Out, Returned, and Closed. The system automatically detects overdue returns.
- Public pages are separate. Your customers interact with a branded booking page and delivery tracking page -- they never see the management dashboard.
